Winter Holidays Vacation
We’re off on our trek to Florida! We’ve got a late start but at least we’re all rested and feeling good (I don’t want to start a vacation any other way.) We kicked things off with a Solstice ritual/celebration last night at our local UU. It was put on by the Womenspirit group and was educational, entertaining and moving. We’ll be camping in the Keys and hope to visit the Key West UU Fellowship while we’re there (among other things that we have planned). On the way back home we’ll stop off at The Mountain for a few days to ring in the New Year. Have a safe & happy holidays everyone! This is our time to rest, reflection, and recharge. We’ll see you in 2007!

Enjoy your holiday! I almost e-mailed you today to see if you had left, but then I decided it was too late. I’m jealous that you are going someplace peaceful, while I am here in cold wet chaos!

HA! Peaceful my ass! I’ve been a nervous wreck since we left - heavy fog, downpours of rain, and bumper to bumper traffic driving 90 miles an hour have all added up to major accidents, with us either stuck in a traffic jam caused by one or desperately trying not to have involvement in the next one.
We’ve finally checked in at a motel near the Florida state line, thank goodness because I was about to have a stroke. I’ve been a hyper alert state all day because of the hazardous road conditions, by which I mean both the stormy weather *and* the crazy holiday traffic. If you don’t know how to drive then DON’T.
Anyways, I’ve been keeping a road journal, so I should post some of that here when I have a chance.
