Just a few of the books I’ve enjoyed reading in the past two years, some are old favorites I return to again and again, others are by authors I’ve recently discovered. Recognize any favorites of your own?

first, your website is very cool to look at!
I’ve read alot of your books- Walk in the Woods was great. Geisha is one of my all time faves, but not the movie!!
Reply: Parts of Walk in the Woods were laugh-out-loud hilarious. Geisha was an excellent novel that completely enchanted me. The movie was average. I have yet to watch any movie that even begins to compare to the book.

I really like the way you’ve done this. I hope you don’t mind if I borrow the idea. I’ll definitely link back to you and yours.
Reply: Borrow away! I look forward to seeing your list, I’m always happy to hear about interesting new books.

I love your new template - it’s gorgeous!
Reply: Thanks, I love this theme, too! But I can’t take credit for it. Andrea & Ron picked it out and someone else (can’t remember who exactly) designed it.

Wow … check out the new look.
I love book recommendations. The only ones on your list I’ve read are Catcher in the Rye, The Bell Jar, The Da Vinci Code, and The Secret Life of Bees. I bought the Secret Life of Bees years ago in a bookstore. It was a new hardcover book. I felt terribly guilty about the money I’d spent. *LOL* So I read it, then mailed it to my mom (”share the wealth.”) She and I both enjoyed it a great deal. It is a neat memory.
Reply: Catcher in the Rye and The Bell Jar are two classics I come back to every couple years. One of the books listed, At Home in the World by Joyce Maynard, is an account of her experience of living with the reclusive author (Salinger) of Catcher in the Rye and how it affected her life as a young woman. It’s a fascinating read which reveals many details of his unusual personality.

Is that Sex, Time, and Power? I didn’t think any one else except me read Leonard Shlain.
Reply: Yes it is - he has some very interesting theories!
